Haq started his legal career in Messrs. Zharif Nizamuddin, focusing on the practice area of corporate commercial while learning core issues and concepts in the practice areas of litigation and conveyancing. He joined as a pupil-in-chambers under the tutelage of Khairunnisa Khalid.
Haq has had experience in dealing with various corporate commercial matters during his early years in the profession, in particular, he has had good exposure in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, general commercial deals, regulatory matters and sports commercialisaton.
Haq took a break from studies between 2013 to 2016 to focus on his family business, running a successful stone-crafting business which had operations in several Malaysian states. He believes that his knowledge in managing a business and its operations, allows him to provide valuable insights and emphatise with issues faced by business owners.
As a sports person, Haq enjoys playing badminton, weight-training and occasionally attending martial art classes. Besides being fluent in Malay and English, he is conversant in Mandarin and other local dialects.
He holds a Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA.
